Ken Doherty, the only person to have been world amateur champion and world professional champion, recently launched his Snooker Club & Academy in Terenure, Dublin, Ireland.
The Ken Doherty Snooker Club & Academy aspires to produce the next Irish world snooker champion and will also target foreign markets to bring the worlds best talent to Dublin. The new club and academy in Terenure place, Dublin 6 was opened on Sunday May 29th by Ken and other legends of the game: Jimmy White, Dennis Taylor, John Parrott, Cliff Thorburn, John Virgo and Michaela Tabb.

The club is based behnd Bradys Pub at Terenure cross. It comprises of 6 snooker tables. Kens championship table is the centerpiece of the club and Ken practices at the club on a daily basis. He is happy to provide casual tips and to provide the benefit of his experience to club members. The academy will initially focus on identifying and nurturing talent in Dublin and eventually will bring talent from around the country.
A new addition to the Club is The Betting Room@Ken’s. A place to play Poker, Blackjack and Roulette. Open nightly from 7pm til late with games to suit all pockets and skills!
The Ken Doherty Snooker club is a refined establishment which offers all that a snooker player could wish for. The club is finished to a very high standard and provides a luxurious place to concentrate on your snooker. In addition to snooker there is also Table Tennis, Pool, American Pool and Darts facilities available.
Members of the club enjoy a preferred play rate and are entitled to take part in all competitions and tournaments.
