Back, Neck & Shoulder massage with Swedish Technique
Swedish massage is the most common type of massage at the spa. Swedish massage combines various hands-on techniques including gliding, kneading, and cross-fiber friction to break up muscle knots, called adhesions. Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on what the therapist wants to achieve.
Relexology
Reflexology matches the pressure points of the feet (especially) with the larger areas of the body. The basis of this technique is the belief that the foot is divided into zones that are a mirror image of the body. The trained therapist can manipulate areas in both hands and feet, bringing a feeling of relief, relaxation and healing to the area of the body that corresponds to the point where pressure is applied.
